Slip dresses are a staple in my wardrobe. I love them because they are so easy to wear and can be dressed up or down all year round. They come in a variety of colors and always look chic and sophisticated, no matter what way they are styled, much like the little black dress.
Here I have styled one slip dress in 5 simple ways to achieve different looks –
This one is the most common way to style a slip dress, simple for day or night event, especially on warmer days, with nude pumps or any heels of your choice and a simple bag. It depends on where you are going, if showing all the skin is acceptable.
For a smarter look, I have layered a blazer over the slip dress and cinched the waist with a black belt , a black bag and nude pumps. You can wear this to dinner, a smart event or even to the office, because your arms are all covered up and the belt is pretty simple.
For an artsy, contemporary look, I have swapped the belt for this white industrial belt and white pumps. You can wear this to an art gallery visit, or to an event with creative people or even to a lunch or dinner. Pull up or fold the arms of the blazer for an even cooler look.
4. Smart casual
I chose this sweater over the slip dress for this look because it is a pretty casual sweater yet still a strong fashion piece with the slogan at the back. The red heels elevate an otherwise casual outfit to a more dressy look.
I swapped the heels with white sneakers it gives a more relaxed, chilled out weekend look. You can run around the city running errands in this comfortable outfit and end up meeting friends for coffee or lunch and still look put together.
What are some of the ways you like to wear your slip dresses?

Girl, I love these! Especially the Contemporary version with the ribbon belt. So fun!
