The shirt dress has undergone a series of style transformations in the last few years and I am not mad about it. I love a good shirt dress,  airy and comfortable, especially for the days when you are not feeling exactly…… svelte. I tend to have many of those ‘unsvelte’ days, so I reach for shirt dress more often than not.

Naturally, when I saw this one I was super excited because I have not come across one with lace. The lace is done so beautifully, not necessarily girly, lending the outfit an edge. The buttons on the side and the white collar make it that much more special, elevating it from “lazy unsvelte day outfit” to “unsvelte but still slaying outfit”. The pin stripes, the collar, the lace and the cut out shoulders pay homage to this season’s biggest trends. I cannot get enough of it!

I paired it with these white loafers that are just a dream, they are like sneakers but smarter and just as comfortable. And finally my trusted black cross body black bag with silver studs. The silver studs complement the edge of the shirt dress.
